Hi All, Newbie here. I just found this site and look forward to browsing to see what everyone is doing in the go-kart world. I had several karts back in the 60's.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm thinking about it! I've got two brand new West Bend 82015 engines and am thinking about finding a vintage Kart or building one from scratch. One hitch is that one of these engines came from a surf board manuf. that went belly up. It was originally a two carb model but I have only one of the carbs (stuffer maybe and run one?). Another is that I have no engine mount or exhaust. The other engine is also new (single carb)(82027) but was for a hang glider/ultralight so it has a belt drive reduction with prop hub mounted to it. I don't know at this point how hard parts are to find for these old engines. I will obviously have to do some research and find out if it's financially feasible on my limited budget.

Sounds to me like an air powered go kart is in order. OR, that might just be crazy talk...

I'm not quite sure how to take you comments but, just in case you think I'm full of AIR, here are a few pics of the engines. Complete with dust from sitting on the shelf for 30+ years.

After doing research/cost analysis on building up a Kart I have decided that with two Ducati Motorcycle projects ahead of me I will bail and put at least one of the engines on fleabay. Thanks for all of the encouragement!
