Hi,
New menber intoducing myself ! I have just finished building a go kart for my son based on a scaled down version of Ron Champions "Build your own off road buggy for as little as $100" as a trial run for building a full size version for myself ! I have also recently aquired a Mini Bike in trade for a RC truck (another hobby) as well as collecting various wheels, axles and other bits and peices. I am really enjoying getting back into building after a long absence (If I only still had all those frames, wheels, clutches, engines etc. that were sent to the dump when I left home 20 years ago)

WHOA! Yet another Aussie; we're gaining on the Americans; only a few thousand to go :roflol:

:welcome2: Jim. Isn't hindsight great  :lolgoku:

The important thing about the Ron Champion is the availability & price of parts (not to mention inflation since that book was wirtten). I'm not saying it's impossible but, it would be more porbable if we lived in "the states"; they have truckloads of cheap parts over there.

Good luck with the build

Hey, we have a build off starting next month... oh wait, make that next week :smiley_omg: maybe you can enter?

Thanks Fabroman, Your dead right about the Ron Champion under $100! might be enough to buy the steering wheel and that's about it, will post a photo of my son's kart soon the frames in the paint shop getting a nice lick of paint.
