Hi guys!

I found this site while looking up racing go kart communities to sell my Briggs and Stratton Raptor III engine. I'm not here to sell it. I want it sold, but I didn't sign up for that. I was browsing around and saw someone looking for an engine for his kart.

I asked if he would ever be interested in a racing engine, or if he is only looking for a basic Briggs engine that takes gasoline. I can't find many 'racing' kart communities.

So that is my experience. In 2003, I raced Microstock in Eastern Pennsylvania. I was new, so I won second and third a few times, and other times I just took the cash. I see a few other people on here that race, but it looks nothing like where I go. We had restrictions, such as replacing seat belts every 4 years, inspection after race, weighing, and changing oil every race. I stopped racing because of new owners which put many restrictions on the kart, such as a gold restrictor plate which limits the karts engine power. I got the engine rebuilt which cost a little over $900, and included electric start machine. The engine was slightly more powerful than my friends engine, which he constantly won first place so many times they had to kick him out of the raceway because they assumed he was cheating, but couldn't prove it because he was not.

I haven't raced the engine because I couldn't fit due to being 6 feet tall. I let the kart sit and now it acquired rust.

Maybe I will cut the cage off and turn it into a sportsman kart, which is no cage. OR, maybe I'll turn it into a yard kart but I feel bad using such a powerful engine that deserves to be on another kart. The kart sits way too low to ride it anywhere. I tried riding it up my street when I first bought it back in 2002, and I got stuck on the smallest rock that wouldn't even move a shock on a motorcycle.

We'll see what happens!
