looks like it sat outside.. lol
its has rusty brakes and bad gas. I picked it up saturday, and really just started messing with it last night.
Step 1 fresh fuel. lol I was sold under the idea that it ran, will run and runs good. We shall see.:devil2:
I know it needs a new rear brake hose from the mainline tee to the caliper, my question is can i use any brake line or tony kart specific line?

Will 300 mm of this line work?

300mm from where to where?
it's not enough to run from the main cylinder to the rear caliper.
for the front brakes, it depends where your y-connector is.

So... pictures would help ;)

And for the engine, please add pictures to let us know what we can help with.

Before you start up the engine, make sure the cooling system is in working condition;
check the water pump (if external) and that you don't run it dry.
Also.. lift the rear axle to start the engine , to allow the external water pump to actually pump ;)

well eyeballing it tells me even250mm will be long enough, but you need to measure the threads anyways.

Oh one thing: it should be the same internal diameter of the other side to make sure you apply the same force to both brake pads.

When in doubt, change both.
flexible brake lines give away, just a tiny little bit of course, but they do.

I know, thats my situation now, replace 1 brake line or replace all the brake lines with hard line.

Its probably SAFER (read $$) to replace all of them with hard line versus just one hard line and the rest rubber. The braking force wont be equal and you could burst a rubber line ...... IMO

every single one?
you're sure?? ;)

Yes and no, based on the brake fluids, sun (UV radiation) weather conditions etc, they can break much faster than a steel connector.

Anyway, rubber hoses are common, and most of all reliable.
No need to run CuNiFer brake lines

Well, I'm not saying rubber hoses are no good as I use 4 short ones on my sandrail. It is set up that way from Germany (vw guts). What I meant was I would not replace a rubber line with a metal one and leave the rest still used, old hose. Either replace all with metal,or replace the originalwith an oem part... Id still consider doing all if doing one.....
Edit...... looking back at your pics, you have stainless braided line.... just replace the bad one with an oem and you should be good to go. Those lines are better than just a rubber line....
