Hello,

I am new to this forum. I joined because I recently started to gather interest in building a go-kart, and found this site to have a lot of information.

I am still trying to figure everything out. I would like to build a kart and am stuck with either buying a kit or designing from scratch.

So any advice on what to do and resources to help would be awesome.

Hey- welcome to the forum. The first step for you is to decide on what type of kart you'd like to build. On/off road, rigid frame or suspended, ladder or space frame, engine type etc. Figure out the basics, and work from there.

I think the best for my area would be a mostly road with maybe a little flat grass type of kart, but an all road will do.
Not sure on the frame right now, but I was thinking a honda clone motor would be the engine I will get first.

I am looking up frame stuff now on best frame builds and that.
