The machinist called me and asked me to get another crank. I dunno what happened but after 14 months at the last shop I honestly just want this thing finished so whatever he needs.

I’m looking at a 3mm Stroker crankshaft. But since this is t a fox body mustang, lol, I find that I can’t make an informed decision.
Here’s a list of the upgrades already done.

PWK 30mm Performance Carb w/Uni filter from Rollingwrenchdenver.com

Nibbi Intake Spacer Tube

Hammerhead Performance “A12” Camshaft

Hammerhead Performance Racing CDI. DC . W/Adjustible Timing

Nakuru 63mm/180cc Big Bore Head Assy w/ piston

MRP Racing Exhaust - MP02048

NCY Complete CVT Transmission Upgrade w(Spring, Slide Weights, Clutch , pulley, Virator)

I see 3 and 4mm cracks on ebay and other places.
I also see the 4mm might need some machining to the block cause it says hard install.
I don't know the ins and outs of the gy6 but its still an engine.
Whats the issue your having?

With my current set up I just don’t know if makes sense to stoke it. I’ve had some people tell me I should’ve stroked it before adding the big bore head. I’m just getting mixed info.
I guess I was hoping for someone with more powersports experience to chime in.

Stroke makes torque. But I think you know that already, 😉

Whats the plans for this? Make tons of power and blow stuff up fun or just a good reliable engine.

I see you put a bigger piston in, any reason to not do the 250cc? Or is the 180? the biggest you can go with out case boring.

I didn't even know they made stroker cranks for them.

I know absolutely nothing about the GY6 engine you have. I have built a lot of the predator engines, both 212, and now a couple of the 224's. 3 mm ( 1/8 inch ) is a lot. It's the only difference between the 212 and the 224. Same size engine block
( different manufacturers ) but same dimensions. The ARC after market rod is bigger on the big end compared to the stocker. Bolts right to the 212. Not so on the 224. The block has to be clearenced in 4 places to keep it from hitting. 2nd one was a breeze. 1st one was pulled apart 3 times before I got it right. I guess
I'm saying if you have a choice between 3 and 4, take 3. Don't know what the bore is on your engine, but with a 70 mm bore, a 3mm stroke will give you 12 cc's of more displacement plus the added torque of the longer crank stroke.
