I just bought my son a used go cart it looks great starts right up but when we got it home and really drove it the chain popped and kept popping. I’m thinking that something bent ??? The sprocket was lose and sliding on the axle so I tightened it etc ect... I can’t figure it out . So I was thinking of converting it to a belt drive. I don’t know if I should or not . Or if I should just buy and replace the whole rear end . The cart is off rode. Has suspension and all . It’s a vortex 169cc 6.5 hp Subaru does anyone have any suggestions???

Can you post pictures of the issue??? If you have worn or damaged part's, it's much easier to diagnose with photos. As for converting it to belt drive, there's a reason why chain drive is (for the most part) the industry standard.

Haha, these are always fun. No one (except a select few) is going to see your plea for help in the Introduce Yourself forum. :sneaky:

Put it in the go kart forum, please moderators.
