i have a 5hp briggs and straton hp i got it started after 3 years of sitting dead at my 2nd houses garage. it had the throttle ripped of when id power slide in tall grass, so my whole throttle setup is just tie wire wraped on the throttle body and the govenor peace is also removed too now my question is how can i get it to get more HP ( ex like air filter, octane booster) and my torque converter belts keeps eating my belts lol

Remove your muffler.. add a straight pipe.

Port + polish

Also refer to the 5hp guide in engines section.

if your belt is alling apart/ chuncks falling away, allignment bad, if it gets hot and gets glazed the gear radio is to high.
