Just picked up one of these for $80. Needs a battery (I think). For an electric kart, it is pretty heavy duty. If I can't get a battery, I may put a 3hp Tecemseh engine on it. Anyone know anything about these?

If I go the 3hp route, it surely would be geared low. Top speed about 15mph. It's well built as opposed to a Razor kart. Those things use about 1/2" tubing for the frame. This kart uses about 1 1/4" tubing. That being said, it's still small. Made for up to about a 10 year old.

I'll see where it takes me...

Did some research and this thing was $899 new! I decided to buy new batteries for $85, clean it up and sell it. I'll save the 3hp for another project.

its not worth that if you put a gas motor on it you can sell it for more but like it is now if it runs you may get like 100 dollors for it 200 with a gas motor on it so its not worth doing stuff to i think cause you got a 50 dollor motor on you may get that if you sold it then all the welding and work say 100 dollors worth of that you sell it for 200 a 50 dollor profits not very good
