Minimoto Kart Help

I got this for free and was wondering if it's worth getting a controller to make it work. I know nothing about electric karts so this would be a new venture for me. I could just put a 79cc engine on it and go from there, but I thought I'd ask first.
I looked up the controller and it wasn't available....

As I said, I'm new to this electric stuff.
What else would I need, beside the controller and 3 batteries?

If your motor is "functional"

(for a simple test, (to be sure) simply connect a (12V) battery)

...& you get a controller & (3) bat trees


Hopefully, your other electronics are still intact & work

...like the electric throttle & the on/off switch

...& your good to go


If not, it depends on what's still there/works


But, at a minimum (if nothing works)

You'll need

...a throttle (~ $15.00)

...an on/off switch (~ $5.00)

...a (40) amp fuse & holder (~$5.00)

...some 10g. wire (probably red & black) (~$10.00)

...some crimp ends & shrink wrap (~$10.00)

There is an on off switch on the steering wheel and that's about it. I'll check the motor to see if it's any good. Thanks for the info!

do these karts have a live axle?

and does anyone know the width of them?

The axle goes all the way across the back, but one rear wheel is free spinning. The person who had this one before me tack welded the wheel to the axle. The axle width is 31" and the frame is 16" wide. I converted mine to gas for a 4 year old to drive.
