I am planning my minibike build and was just wondering what diameter wheels would you think would be most suited.

I have looked at many minimoto wheels for cheap on ebay, but i am looking for wheels that will handle well in the rough (down fields and the like).

Iam thinking 12inch pneumatics but would go larger if it means better stability and control. I am basing my bike on this:

Many wheels dont have interchangeable hubs(and no keyways and i feel a keyway is a must)

Would anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

12's should do ya fine. Are you going for an offroad bike, or a chopper? Choppers don't do too great off pavement ....

why worry about keyways? the wheels on a mini are like bicycle, or like a gokarts front tires. they just spin on an axle. if going through fields and such, i would recommend larger say a 15 minimum. i rode an atv through a half plowed field before, the atv was bouncing everywhere. course i was doing about 30mph. the bigger the wheel, the more you can go over.
