get a harbor freight 6.5 and torque converter it would fly.

motors rarely die unless it was overvolted.

if its charging, i would check with a Multimeter to see if there is voltage getting to the motor
controllers are under 20.00, if its the controller. if its the throttle its like 9.00

i seen a motor go. on a mini moto pocket bike. multimeter read 37 volts to the motor, so i took it apart and the brushes were all cracked, and a magnet broke off the housing.

funny how it says trades welcome but its free... lol give him a lollipop.
