Mikuni w/ Thumb Throttle

My main question is if there is a throttle cable that I can use with a Mikuni flat slide and also on a thumb throttle for a mini bike? I am planning on picking up a Honda or Yamaha thumb throttle assembly from eBay just not sure what my options are as far as throttle cable goes.

If anyone has done this would love to see how it was done.

Thank you, glad to hear it should be pretty standard. I found a Yamaha thumb throttle I had left over from my Raptor 700R so I may just use that since its already sitting in my parts pile.

i used the billet raptor thumb throttle. I have big hands though so it works. You can adjust the position of the lever IIRC. This is with the 32mm flatslide...

I put the same setup on a smaller bike and its okay, but the grips are so small that it feels weird. Thick grips make it feel more natural.I might need to just adjust the position of the thumb throttle so it feels mroe natural. Most people like the twist grip (myself included) for the small blocks. Big blocks seem like you have to twist it a lot to get the full travel of the slide, so imo the bigger flatslides might be better with thumb throttle. my personal preference.

I was unable to find the exact throttle cable that will thread onto the raptor input side, but I did get my 90 degree elbow/universal mikuni thread on type throttle cable that just kind of sits inside the raptor input side of the throttle. Fully adjustable cable got it from nichecyclesupply.com

Finally had a chance to go and look at my parts bin and found the thumb throttle that came off my Raptor 700R. Will for sure need a new coat of paint however as far as I can tell it has a barrel type end on the thumb throttle side and a regular fitting on the carb side. Unless I am mistaking I should be able to buy any Mikuni throttle cable I need and it should work.

The carb also came with a throttle cable that on one end has the small barrel thing for the carb, on the other end nothing.
