Finally completed my first refresh! Frame restoration, engine plate replacement, engine and clutch replacement, body repair, basecoat-clearcoat, new-updated to original decals, added a racing seat patch to a completely new seat, tires and hardware. Now it looks about as good as it runs. Had to hand create a new rear wing so i made it a bit wider along with more period correct rounded lines more like the front spoilers manufactured in the late 70's early 80's. I have a old 60's twin engine that's next. Have to preserve these before they are all gone for good!

Beautiful job. These are such cool karts and you're right that we need to scoop 'em up before they get wrecked or hacked up by someone not knowing what they have. How do you fit?

Pretty well actually. I'm 5'11" about 185 and if you use a pin and remove the wheel, it's a really easy in and out. The Manco's in similiar style are not the same body size nor are they easy to fit into. I learned the hard way on that one, the Manco attached only had 30 minutes of original usage but I didn't fit into it.

Just like real open wheelers. NASCAR ones are cool too, I've seen a few for sale but outta my price range. Will you try and get one of them?

Beautiful resto job. I would have done it with personal touches, but it is still Beautiful.

This is my CT90 I'm restoring, but as you can tell it has personal touches.

Yes, I deliberated over making modifications to it but I decided to let the period correctness stand. The updated stripes and a few newer stickers brought it to the 1999 Livery from Brian Herta's car. Which can easily be changed back to original.

It's a cool piece! Can't wait to see it completed.

Awesome, I read where you said you put on original decals and thought you where one of those people that keep everything original.

I'm in the middle. It's looks close to original yet and added stripe here and an added sticker there never hurt anyone.
