Hi all,

We are finally returning to our electric cart build. Purchasing a live axle kit from BMI Karts which includes a 54T Sprocket for the axle and a #40 chain. We now need to match the correct motor sprocket but I'm once again confused with all the chatter around the subject. We also have a somewhat unusual mount on the motor but figure we can drill the appropriate holes to match for mounting. Attaching picture. It's a 24 volt motor

appreciate the help!

Jeff

That is an odd looking shaft/mount for a sprocket
...& usually 24V is quite low of a voltage for most go karts (what is the wattage?)
...so, it'll probably be very slow & won't make a very "fun" kart

There are "plain" sprockets available, that you can machine your own bolt holes into
...but, getting them holes exactly centered DIY is NOT easy.
