makeshift seat?

well ive been looking for a while and the only upholstery store is 2 hours away, i cant get that far due to my family having bad asthma. so i was looking at Walmart and found this http://www.walmart.com/ip/Spa-Sensations-Contour-Travel-Pilllow/10780215 the dimensions are 10 inch by 12 inch by 4 inch (length,width,height) if i cut the 4 inch height into 1 inches pieces, and use 2 pieces for the main seats and 2 for the back then cut the 12 inch width down to fit the board and use the extra to make padding in between the seats, and put it all down with carpet takes would it make a reasonable seat?

You do realize most Walmarts have a fabric/sewing section with a good selection of materials and foam, right?

not any walmarts in my area. ive been through my local walmart out to a belveile walmart which ended up with my grandma in the hospital, but non ive been to, did, theres no section with foam or anything, the only thing here is yarn

i just ended up buying a seat cushion to hold me over a month or two till i can get a real seat
