If you have been around Tman in the last few months you may know me as Redneckcomputergeak on youtube. I had a gokart years ago and plan to build one for my oldest son soon. I also have plans for converting a lawn tractor into a a gokart with tranny and every thing in the rear and a go kart front end all custome fab work.

This is my curent mud mower as it sits Hope you all like it!

Howdy- welcome to the forum! That tractor you pictured above is kind of like what I have in mind fro a machine I picked up recently. Not so much for mudding, but as a general workhorse around the property.

Why don't you start a thread (Off Topic section) to showcase it? I may have a few questions for you!

As for the tractor kart build, start up a thread in the projects section and let's get started!

Awesome the mower to be butchered for the build is under 3ft of snow but I will get the shovel out and get it uncovered in time to join the contest. My Goal is to reuse as much of the original mower parts as possible but end up with some thing decidedly go kart.

As far as your work horse Your tranny is everything. a peerless tranny it is the best. Some spicer trannys are decent. If it has a foote tranny its a big paper weight waiting to happen.

I think it's a Peerless 900 series. I have to yank a wheel off, and possibly the brake to look for the tag. I know an 800 to see it, and it's not an 800.
