looking for welder

Hi am looking for arc welder and i found this one on harbor freight the price sounds good but i wanted any advice about it or information on how it handles and etc. Thanks

Search your local craigslist for a name brand(Lincoln, Century, Miller, Hobart) welder. You can get a good name-brand for about the same price.

That welder, sometimes called a buzz box, is the cheapest welder out there, great for starting out and will keep preforming if you threat it good and don't abuse it. The greatest improvement will be the rods, I suggest you get brand name rods makes a machine that is hard to start an arc alot easier.

Suitable for steel above 3mm, as even at the lowest setting it is very hard to weld thin steel.
