Your expert help(s) are needed!

I bought a brake set up for my kart from ebay a few days ago, and have just (tried to) bleed it. With the pads off the pistons move in and out fine. As soon as fit the pads and pump the master, the brakes just make an oozing noise, leak fluid from behind the pads and do nothing at all!

What am I doing wrong, are brakes dead?

The caliper has bad o-rings and or rubber plunger. Take it apart and clean it up inside the cylinder. It could be rusty which is probably causing it to ooze fluid past o-rings. It's a race kart caliper. Any name on it? Kinda looks like the same one on my Birel kart. Rebuild kit shouldn't cost more than $35.00.
