Hello all.

I've always enjoyed the silly little electric karts you can ride at fairs and such, but it never occurred to me that I might one day be able to own a kart of my own. However, I recently stumbled across some info on karting and realized that throwing together a yard kart or two with some similarly inclined friends would be a perfect summer project.

I've got a group of friends together and we are hoping to scrounge together parts for a Predator-powered, live axle kart this summer. However, getting started is proving to be more difficult than I thought- there's a disappointing lack of appropriately cheap kart frames on the local craigslist, and we're not anywhere near smart enough to build our own. Any other NH fellows have pointers on where to look?

Happy karting:auto:

Mower repair shops sometimes have old carts sitting around. Once I really started looking for karts, they were everywhere all the sudden..

Keep looking...:welcome2:

Welcome to the forum...

You're not wrong, there's not much in NH; the reason for that is supply & demand; there doesn't seem to be much in the north east, whereas, in Texas, there a dime a dozen; you could probably buy a kart from Texas & have it shipped to you cheaper than you could buy a decent project locally...

The trick is to not concentrate only on local items, you need to look a bit farther afield; this, for example, is a bit of a drive but, well worth the drive...
