Hi guys! Just saying “hi”! As a new member. I have a few go karts and will be lurking around. Have a Manco that’s sorta running, a racing kart frame and a couple others. Will be checking out stuff. Hopefully my pics post ok! Hahah, yeah there are go karts “in progress” under there! Too many karts, too little time….

Thanks!

Phil

Oh, if anyone can identify the green go kart above would appreciate any info at the following thread. Thanks!

I’ve been poking around and this forum is very user friendly!

Howdy & :welcome2:

Kool toys! :2guns:

The greenish/blue one, looks like a nice-n-sturdy, well built kart with many safety features
...front impact/foot protection
...side impact protection
...& an enclosed rear axle (rotating shaft protection) :cheers2:

* The red one looks like a "work bench" :devil2:

Hi Functional Artist! Thanks for the welcome.
Yeah the green one is pretty sturdy as you mentioned. Hahha, the red ones are workbenches for now. There are two red go karts in the garage in various states of repair. I took the wheels off to make them easier to move around. I took some lazy pics of them for someone who’s may be interested in them.

Below are some better pics I found. You can see the frame of one of the karts in the garage after some paint, I got that one in pieces as you can see in the pic’s . Then you can see the other red kart with the white seat. In one pic with the #10 visible on the back of the white seat you can see the other kart in the background.

Then also there is a third red kart next to the green one. That’s a Manco if I recall with a 5hp engine.

You got all kind of fun toys buried in there!
I think I’m truly addicted to finding good deals. Got too many projects. Good thing it seems everyone thinks everything is “collectible” so prices are up on stuff so I don’t think about trying to buy those things. Under the tarp behind the go karts is a ‘72 Dodge Challenger I got a a good deal but needs a little work. I joke with my family that I have enough stuff for when I retire. And this isn’t even all the crazy RC car stuff I have in the basement….help!!!!!

My buddy still has his 72 Challanger 340 he bought brand new from Mr. Norms Grand Spaulding Dodge. He even talks to the salesman who sold it to him on book face. It has less than 25,000 miles.

Ooooo! That’s sweet! A GSD car is special! Low miles too! I’m sure it’s in way better shape than mine! Cool he still talks to the sales person! Mine is a 340 as well. An early one, scheduled build date was 8/17/71. In Super Blue, aka Petty Blue.

pic below was from a while ago when it was in better shape.
