is this a good idea or not?

ok so i have seen posts about people cleaning engines and carbs with pure lemon juice and boiling it in etc. so im just gonna ask to see it its a ok or good idea to put some in my gas tank of my 2 stroke pocket bike and will it clean it u or loose performance
etc. cuzz i wann try this.

i would just swish it out with gas, then wash it with soap and water.

the lemon juice and carb thing works when you boil it. putting boiling liquid into a plastic tank might mess it up.

For the lemon to work it must be aluminum. The acid in the lemons reacts to aluminum giving it the cleaning power it does. Plastic or steel you might as well use Dawn or some other degreasers.

I used boiling vinegar on a mikuni vm carb on my dirt bike pulled the jets and let it sit in the soup for 30 minutes,sure stinks so do it outside. carb cleans out really nice but has a blackish apperance. I polished it to a shine with stainless scrubby and looks almost chrome. bike runs idles like a dream go for it.

If you want to clean your carb a bit without removing it, buy a can of sea foam and pour some in your gas tank. Its good stuff.

Can Sea Foam be used on 2 strokes? I thought it was only for 4 strokes. I've never used the stuff, so I don't know.
