Hey,
I have been toying with the idea to puting together a go kart for a few months. I finally took the plunge. I bought 2 Karts both without motors, for $100. A double seat manco and a single seat kart (not sure what brand?) Both need to be stripped and painted.

I am going to be giving the double to my cousins (girls 10&13). I hope to have it done by Easter! I plan on putting a 6.5 from Harbor freight on it.

The single seat is for me. I bought a 11hp from Harbor freight to go on it. The kart does have large tires, 22's rear and 18's front. I'm not sure if I'm going to have gearing problems. The sprocket for the motor has 10 teeth and the axle has 60.

Thanks for reading. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
SMOKECKECK.

Is that a CVT I see on there? That will greatly help with your gearing. If that's the case, 6:1 should be okay. Without one, you'll probably need to gear a little deeper. Welcome to the forum!

Good deal, and if that is a torque converter like toystory suggested, great deal!
You definanently have a jackshaft, so even if that isn't a torque converter I'm sure you could use the jackshaft to get a good ratio.

I am new to this stuff, I'm not sure what its called. I was told by the Guy I bought the frame from that it would be better without it. Also the pulley is a little bent. So I bought this from a mower shop.

Should I stick with the belt?

Looks a bit beaten. And I'm guessing the driver pulley is missing. Bummer- you'd be much better off with it. Do some research (including searching this forum), and school yourself on the following phrases- TC, torque-a-verter, torque converter, CVT, Continuously Variable Transmission.

Not just any pulleys- this is a variable speed transmission. Worth it's weight in gold for performance. Beats the wee out of a centrifugal clutch (like you're holding in the last pic).
