Infinity Speakers Jack Pot

Went picking at my local goodwill and found a old pair of Infinty speakers. $20 for the set. I knew they were vintage and old just from the looks. I did not even take the covers off when I bought them. I sold enough vintage speakers knowing the parts inside are worth big money. When I got home and took the covers off I was scratching my head going hmmmm. These are different. I decided to join a vintage audio forum and ask around for I found little on the type I have. Some close but nothing like mine.

The story gets better as the experts try to figure out what I have. After much debate I found out I have in my hands the very first prototype of infinity speakers ever made. The Servostatik was Infinity's first speaker. It was originally developed in a garage by Arnie Nudell, Cary Christie, and John Ulrich. Arnie and John were aerospace designers for Litton in Southern California. I posted a pic of them below.

So I have the prototype of Infinity first speakers ever built in Arnie Nudell Garage in 1967 or 68. I got a call back from Infinity but missed the call today. The guys at the forums I joined said the the released pair sale for over $1500 when they do come up. But being a prototype built by Arnie will make collectors go nuts.

Here is some pics. The one driver has been replaced though. Those are electrostatic panels that are the tweaters. This setup would of had an subwoofer with it. Also posted a pic of the normal released speakers by Infinity. Amagine those 3 guys in a garage making this speaker to start the Infinity company.
