In February of this year I had a VERY BAD wreak on a Banshee built for the sand dunes here in Florida. I flipped more times than I like to think about. Needless to say the Banshee was totally trashed. Worst of all so was I. Shattered clavicle 17 pieces, scapula cracked, skull cracked, road rash the size of dinner plate, hand broken multiple places, and 4 broke ribs. This was all on the left side. Now it hurts too much to ride a ATV or dirt bike. I had to sell all of my toys to keep the bills paid for the 6 months after the accident.I thought my glory days of off road hell raising were over. Two weeks ago I met a guy with a mini sand rail with a GSXR1100 engine. Unbelievably he let me drive it. To be honest it was better than a 4 wheeler hands down. His sons race karts and they have a lot of them.. Over a weekend I was able to drive a wide range of karts and buggies. I'm hooked! Physically I can no longer do the work I did before. That means my money is super tight. On top of that I'll be moving back to Georgia within a year for better job ops. So i don't want to get too invested in a big build. But, I will be building a kart. I've already started picking up parts. I'm a big guy200+ so I need a powerful kart. Plus, if it ain't fast what is the point. I'll be posting a build thread after this intro. I've been looking over this site for the past two weeks. Lets call it recon. I'm ready to start building.
