I want to build a Sofa Kart

My roommate just build a 9 feet tall bicycle and so i have to upstage him and build me a love seat with a motor on it. After doing some research I think ive planned most things out. Im not sure how im going to buy these parts and have them all match each other and also if its possible to have a steering column that goes completely vertical rather than on the angle like every other go kart ive seen. So if any one of your guys could give me advise on those two things that woulde be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

I should mention that im a good welder and i do have plans for the frame, engine, rear end, and most of the front end thought of. Just need help with the two things i mentioned in my first post. thank guys.

If you really want to outdo your room mate, build a 2 place tanning bed kart. Then you and a friend can ride around nekkid. Bet he can't top that. Just don't try it in my neighborhood.
