Howdy yall! I have been wanting to build a kart for a while now. With a 3 year old and a 1 year old it is hard to find the time. I just built a cooler radio for floating the river this summer. I decided that I wanted to build a cooler kart now. Today on my way home I saw that someone had a tiller on the side of the road that they were tossing out. It has a 5 hp briggs. I got it home and couldn't start it. After messing around with it for a while I found it had a clogged fuel line. Easy fix and now it runs like a champ. I also have an old 9hp briggs and a 6.5. I have all the tools I just need the time. I am happy I found this site and have already found tons of good ideas.
