Hi,
My question is: How can i make a legal mini chopper, Because I want to be able to go on the street. I presently live in Canada, Quebec.

Someone is able to tell me what i have to do to make it legal???
I haven't start the project, so it's take to make change to the plans.
Thanks a lot

To make it legal? Lots of work. Lights, horn, ect...

Better to just ride it in your neighborhood or the sidewalks.

Also depends on your local laws. Take a look at them.

Go to your local DMV and ask for the paperwork needed to title a custom vehicle, you will probably get some sort of "inspection sheet" with all the requirements on it.

There would be quite a bit of work involved.. mostly electronics.
Ie. head lights, stop lights, blinkers, horn etc

Riding on the sidewalks is just as bad as riding on the road itself..
I found this out when an UNMARKED cop car pulled me up for riding on the footpath a while back.. He could of slapped me with $2000+ fines for underaged driver, in-experienced driver, not registered vehicle, disturbing the peace etc..
But he let me of with a warning becuase i was only a kid.

But for your mini chopper... You may have to go in the direction of a moped, In that <50cc and a step-thought style frame.

or buy a street legal registrable cheap chinese bike and cut it up and use the frame/motor. the X18 and mini choppers ive seen run from $300 used to $450 new (+shipping)

if the local laws are easy, then just do whats easiest

Nice neighboorhood. Back in Victoria (city where I got my first go kart), we had ATVs, minibikes, electric scooters, electric pocket bikes, electric mini choppers...

Those unmarked police cars a kinda easy to spot. If you drive on the sidewalk just don't piss anyone off or the cops WILL come when passing always be the person that veers onto the grass for the other person and don't floor it down a crowded sidwalk and you should be fine:sifone:
