OK....One of my old favorite camp foods....Needed: one skillet one potato one onion .....one can of Spam...some veggie oil....a fire.....salt and pepper....a knife, platesand eating utensils. ......

Chop the potatoes and onions fine....1/4" chunks on the Spam.....brown well....salt and pepper and then add however much beer you have in your csnanf simmer 20 mins...........

Now. ....you can also substitute chicken loaf from Albertsons: available in the "Dollar Zone".......instead of Spam......

Now here's the funny thing.....another cheapy meal....but this one will blow your mind. ....and it's almost identical. ...

One potato. ...1/2 onion....diced fine and browned....set aside....add more oil.. (what? were you going to saute in a dry pan????..)

Anyhoo.....to the hot oil....add 2 cans of potted meat ......fry till almost burned....add back tthe oinions and potatoes and mash.....spoon on a plate....fry some eggs and top....viola!!!!!; Poboy corned beef hash! !!!!!

I do something like that, but I use ground sirloin. I boil the potatoes though, then brown the meat a little. Take the meat, drained of any fat, then mix with the potatoes. Form little patties, and fry on high quickly to brown it all up nice and toasty. Sometimes it's topped with over easy ,sometimes scrambled eggs..... I like it, but I listen to my stomach when I cook...... :lolgoku:
