I've been wanting a manual transmission go-kart for some time now and I recently ran across a Honda Trx 250ex engine on Facebook marketplace. I'm not positive about the year, still waiting for the seller to get back to me. I want to put it on a smallish yard kart that currently has a Predator 212 on it. I only am looking for the kart to go about 30-45 mph nothing too crazy. Do you think this engine would be too much power than I'm looking for? The engine also doesn't come with its carb so if anyone knows what size it might be that would be awesome. Also, feel free to give any advice about this particular engine or how it should be mounted.
PS: I know that the Trx 250ex has a semi-clutch, not a full manual, but it's still a step up from the centrifugal clutch currently on my kart.
