Honda gx160 idles but doesnt want to stay at idle

Hello i have a honda gx160 wich i recently have got running needed a spark plug carb clean, i had it running but was surging so cleaned jet under idle speed screw now is idling and running just fine but the issue lies when i am not constantly holding throttle/ govener linkage in the idle position rpms build Nd it wants to take off on me wich cought me by suprise as there were no brakes when this happened anybody know what a cause and remedy could be? Can send a vid if needed bought the cart with hopes of getting my little sister into motorsport

Are the throttle return springs intact?

A picture of the side of the engine with the clutch or torque converter would also be a big help. Old gas in the tank is another possible problem since you had to clean up the carb I hope you clean out the gas tank and dumped all the old fuel.

Yeah i did ive ended up deleting govener but itll only run with choke

Are you still using the stock carb?
Show a pic of how you have that set up now that you deleted the governor.
