Hello I'm new to this forum but not to karts, although the last kart I had was back when I was a kid...anyhow fast forward 25 years and here I am...I'm 37 with 5 boys...which includes 2 sets of twins...a few years back I bought a 50cc Chinese 4 wheeler for my oldest son, which has not gotten rode in 2 years now...being a bodyman/metal fabricator by trade I've decided to cut it up and build the boys a kart from it...especially considering my oldest is too big for it now and I remember how much fun I had as a child/teen with karts...while I don't know what I want to build yet, I do know I want the cool factor to be through the roof...well till my next post I guess you've got a lurker out there looking at posts and plans of other builds...I have already lurked around a bit before deciding to join...have to tip my hat to some of you for the amazing work I've seen put into some of these hand built karts...any help with ideas and threads on the subject would be much appreciated seeings that I'm well past rusty due to the time away from karts...not to mention the advancements in technology since my last kart...thanks for having me here and I look forward to hearing from others with more knowledge than I...now back to taking notes...

Welcome to the forum! We'll help you along in any way that we can. Might I suggest you start up a build thread in the Photo Gallery and Projects Log section, throw up a couple pics, and let us see what you've got in mind?

Welcome to the forum!! You will find that karts have not changed too much in th last 25 years (unless you look at race karts). Your typical yard kart is still very much the same

Let us know if we can help you with anything
