hi, i signed up because i loved the site and all the info. Im big into self build projects i will try my best to make something myself before ill buy it, not because im cheap i just like the feeling after wards of seeing the final product and seeing if it stands up to whats on the market.

my new venture is a two seater go kart. im not nessicarily looking to go fast just something to have a bit of fun with.

now id like some help if ye dont mind.

like i said i want to build a two seater kart driven by one wheel or two which ever is simplest and neatest, and i was thinking of trying to source the engine second hand and making everything my self, but i decided ill do it right or not at all, i see on the main site it says northen tool is a good place to buy all the parts but i dont know what i need haha, well i mean i dont know what specifiations of the parts i need.

i guess what im trying to say is i want to buy everything exept the frame as i can build that myself, so if you could help me by telling me whats the basic stuff i need from engine to axle to wheels to steering thanks very much and sorry for the big post

Are you good at fabrication? if not I suggest buying your first kart off craigslist.

well just had a look at craigs list and i dont think it will work for me because im from ireland. and iv searched high and low in the buy and sell its a magazine over here that has exactly what its title suggests but couldnt find anything

I have heard of people in the UK using gumtree, not sure if you can or not...
