Hi from Fairfax, VA! I am planning a kart project for my two daughters and have chosen the deluxe live axel upgrade plans from KartFab.
I'm currently trying to decide if I should stick with 11 gauge 1x1 for the frame or try 1.25x1.25 16 gauge. The former I will have to source from a supplier a ways away from me that charges some hefty cutting fees. The latter I could grab from the local Home Depot minutes away but is a little more $.
Has anyone built this kart using 1.25 16 gauge? We'll be riding mostly light gravel/dirt roads, nothing crazy. I'd likely be driving first with my daughter sitting passenger before handing the wheel over to her (she'll be 6 by the time it's finished).
