I joined the forum a little while back, but I haven't been on much really. I'm planning to build a go kart primarily for my brothers to use, but I'll use it from time to time as well. I'm trying to do it as cheap as I can while still building a decent kart.
I have a free 5hp briggs motor off of a chipper shredder and I am going to be using my hobart handler 140 to build the frame. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be glad to hear them. Also, what kind of places do most of you buy steel for your frames from? I haven't looked much locally yet, but do most steel distributors sell in small quantities that I would need or primarily large contracts?
