Hey guys. Just picked up a welder and will be practicing with it soon so I get used to a MIG. I've always used stick welder in the past. I thought a go kart would make a nice eventual project once I'm comfortable again with my welding skills. I look forward to meeting everybody and hope I'll be able to contribute some knowledge: my engine experience is based around chainsaws. I rebuild them and make knives for a living. Hopefully I'll be able to absorb some of your experience and put to good use down the road. If you ever have a chainsaw question or want knife info, lemme know. I'm the owner of Big Creek Blades. Peace and axle grease.

:welcome2:

Some early go karts used chainsaw engines (google "McCulloch go kart"); so, how are you with small 4 stroke engines?

I found MIG is much easier than stick welding, you have more control so it's much easier to master; a bit of practice & you'll see what I mean ;)

Welcome to the forum! ... Hmmmmm ....."Show me State" eh???

Well this ought to be called the "Show me Forum"......we have a saying...."without pics...it didn't happen! "

So. ...just 2 things. ...Please fill out your profile so we will know where you are from in future posts. .....and post up plenty of pics. ......

I invented a knife. ...'The Poboy Knife"......not as famous as a "Bowie" knife.....but easier to make. .... (duct tape and a lawnmower blade)......I don't want to say anymore or I might give it away......:lolgoku:
