Hey all, I'm new to the world of go-karts. My brother-in-law and I recently became members of Midian Shrine here in Wichita. One of the parade groups, called Yoshi, drives old BKS go-karts. I recently acquired one of the old karts with a raptor flathead on it. I'm looking ti get it gong for this year & will likely replace it with an Animal for next season.

I have almost no knowledge of small engines (or big ones for that matter) so I may end up asking a lot of stupid questions.

Welcome to the forum. I have been rebuilding and modifying small engines for years. I'll be able to answer your engine-related questions. And for what I can't answer, we also have a lot of members here with extensive knowledge on pretty much every other aspect of kart-building.
