Hi, my name's Dave. I really want to build a kart, and I've been doing a lot of research lately. I'm a senior in hs and I plan to go into college in a mechanical engineering major. My dad has lots of knowledge and experience in welding and fabricating, so this should be a fun project for both of us.
Right now my plan is to build a simple kart for grassy acreage. Depending on how everything works out, I may or may not use suspension, and I'm planning on using the 1 seat plan on this site as a guideline. I get lots of ideas in my head, so really who knows how it will end up. Earlier I was autocad-ing some ideas and came up with a rear suspension that could be used with a live axle, and I just now read a suggestion that it could be done that way.
Anyways, I hope I find it cozy here, hope I'm gonna like it
