Hello from a New Carter Go Kart Owner!

Hi there!

I just picked up our first go kart project for my son and I to begin rebuilding. Its a Carter Brothers 2575-3016 and seems to be in solid shapre frame-wise (just needs some TLC, paint, etc). Gonna be brining it back to her old glory!

Since this is our first build I am curious to know where folks are sourcing parts from these days. I have found a few online retailers like GoPowerSports, but wasn't sure if there were any other good ones or other resources I should be aware of.

Just go online and look up gokarts. Gokart Supply, BMI, MFG Supply the list goes on. Welcome.

Thanks, I did too, but my son has made up his mind on blue, so lookin' like will go blue with this build despite the cool paint job!

Well that is a mistake! Someone went to a lot of trouble to do a two-tone paint job and honestly the kart looks to be in tip top shape.
"Gonna be bringing it back to her old glory!" sounds like restoration, which means you need a factory brochure and all the original parts.

Once you have an operating kart silly things like color matter less and less and less. Oh well, just necroposting

I feel for you, this is the best gosh-darn paint job I’ve seen on a kart, two tone hot rod style!
