OK, now that I have your attention.........I know that there are a lot of people outside of the USA that may order from these people or this group that I am still unfamiliar with but have a curiosity for. To some outside the USA, it may just be every day dealings with Alibaba, but I wonder IF we individuals in America can purchase from them and how? I see many items that only require a purchase of (1) item and at a low price as far as I am concerned. Is there shipping included( I don't see any quotes). To those who have, how easy is it and do they accept Paypal? Just what is 'Alibaba' and location? Is it kinda like Ebay without the bidding? Is it only for businesses? It seems that you can contact the seller online. Thanks.

Personally, no, but there have been several posts from folks who have done business with them. No negative reports that I recall.

Maybe someone who has dealt with them will chime in shortly. I'm curious myself.

I used it years ago to get in contact w/ some chinese exporters. As I recall, it's just a listing service, and then you deal w/ the seller. I had a good experience with it. They must make money somehow, the company is worth something like a bajillion dollars.

Thanks, maybe that is why every add says 'Contact Seller'. I think Alibaba was and still is started/run buy a couple young Asian guys. I thing I saw a news interview of them a month ago.

Alibaba is huge!! A few years ago they might have been a bit dodgy, but now i think they have their act together

Anywho, when you hit a wall on alibaba, then try aliexpress, which is the same thing but for "endusers"..
no need to buy 200 pieces a month or fullfill a 1000 pieces min order..

i've purchased from both alibaba and aliexpress, which is awesome!. and have not had any problems. Only that shipping from china takes forever some times. If they have us warehouse then it comes fairly quick.sometimes you pay more for us warehouse location so if you dont need it right away the china shipment is fine to wait for.

I tend to buy form aliexpress or dealextreme is good too.

Can you tell us the process you go through? I'm guessing you bring up www.alibaba.com/us , then contact the seller, figure out how to pay, and then pay? What is the wait period from the moment you contact seller?
