Hammerhead 250cc Radiator

I am new to carts and buggies but just bought an old Hammerhead 250 for a project. I am wondering if the front radiator is really necessary for cooling or if I could eliminate it when I put it back together. It seems like the larger radiator with 2 fans in the rear would be adequate but I'm new. Any help? Thank you.

It is probably for oil cooling and is necessary if the factory put it there. Could we get some pictures of the kart?
