Hack motor connection

Hola...over last 3 month, i've build a wooden trike go kart. Using my old 24v 300w chinese e scooter body and electric system i really really success build it....but...it crash!!
I makeover and try change somethings...
1. Can i use trigger switch cordless drill to swap with the throttle and as a foot pedal??
2.if Yes, how to connect with 24v controller system.??
