So I was glancing around on CL and found a murray explorer for 125obo and it seemed in good shape. Came with a 5hp Briggs flat head but needs a clutch driver and a chain and better tires. So I go up to get it and he has another little older yard kart I asked if it was for sale and he said 20$ to get it out of his way do i scored both karts for 120$ woo! I'm pretty happy with them and can't wait to get them going. Let me know what you guys think!

Yeah I think I can get the engines running no problem. Well the 5hp. The little kart has a 3hp on it I gotta put the carb and tank on. Hopefully it has all its parts. Im gonna attempt to make a seat for it from wood and hobby lobby materials. Never done it be4 so it'll be fun to see how it turns out haha

Great deal I think. The Murray is easily worth what you paid for both, and would be worth more if it was running and completely functional.

But two rollers, basically complete with engines, is one heck of a deal.

That little one is intriguing in the minimalism department. I've seen one like it before and recall those backrest supports. I wouldn't alter it one bit and keep it one-wheel peel.

Yeah the 5hp runs great. I cleaned the carb on the 3hp and it'll run spraying fuel in the carb but not by itself so it needs more work so I put the 5hp on the little one, and gave it an el cheapo paint job so it looks a bit more appealing. I'm going to wrap the seat tomorrow and I'll post a pic of it. I think I can get my money from buying both out of it. At least 100$. I ordered the torque converter driver and belt for the murray and gonna throw my predator on it and see how it does. Ima keep the murray for a while i think

Dude! Great deal on the carts, but what gets me is I bought a Manco Dominator from under a tree that looked very rough. Then after getting it refurbed I caught some kind of stupid go cart bug, and now I found a Murray explorer just like yours Wife ain't happy. No she ain't

Oh. I have a link to the parts manual for the Murray, but it doesn't give any specifics? Throttle cable length etc... can you post pic of your cable and how it's attached?
Thanks
