Not at all! I wanted to read and interact more; buy I was on the verge of dozing off on the porch. It's getting a bit chilly to be falliing asleep outside these days.

I'm surprised I haven't had one of my punk neighbors steal my phone off my chest while I was off in Lala Land.

Gotta pace yourself man. I've been up since 6:30, chugged down a Boost and a pot of coffee and hit the ground running. I started drinking beer at 11:30 and I'm still going. Here's the secret: I've been working my butt off so I have just been getting sips here and there. I've still got one left in the 6 pack!

Another thing that helps is it's that Walgreens beer- Big Flats-$3.33 a six pack. Yummy! Just can't wait to guzzle that!!!!

That's the sad part, I don't drink. I can't even blame drunkenness on that; it's straight wore out.

I've tried those energy drinks before, but they don't work right in me. Either they make me more tired, or I'm hyped up like I'm on the smack.

I have to credit the cooler weather. It's awesome to work all day and not break a sweat. I'm tired now though- and sore! I wound up having to put the bass tracker halves back together by myself. I did get help with the kart, but what I really did was rearrange a ton of crap in my sheds- (gotta do it again tomorrow. ....)

And THAT is why I've alwas liked working in the fall & winter months. You can always put more clothes on; you can only take so much off in the summer.

because i don't drink any coffee any caffeine sends me spastic
1 mother, ill be awake and work my *** off for 16 hours
but then be a total wreak the next day, i stay away from caffeine
sugar is plenty enough

working 2 weeks on 1 off
12 hr shifts with a 3 hour round trip from camp
90% humidity 24hrs a day
during the day it reaches 56*c+ in the shade

but thats not too bad as your sweat dries out
duirng night shift it cools to a nice 30*c
but because theres no sun by 12am u find u are taking your **** off and ringing it out every 1/2 hour

then u have to clamber over the machines that have been baking in the sun and working their asses off too

and if its not boiling hot then it means its pissing it down with rainwhich only happens 3 times a year

but i bet any one would do it when an apprentic heavy deisel mechanic wage is $60 an hour
and tradies are on $130

I've spent over 25 years in the machine tool trades: the highest I've ever flirted with was $19.50 an hour. $60.00 an hour is pushing the top of the range quoted for billable hours by most companies for high detail job shop work in the Midwestern US. I'm looking for a new job; the range I'm seeing listed in the want adds are between $12.00 an hour and $16.34 an hour. That's for someone who has experience setting up, programming, and running 5 axis CNC machines.

If you'all are paying $60.00 an hour for apprentice's, what does it take for me to get a work visa in OZ????? I think I might have a chance on a lot of your type of work......

CNC machines ain't used though
It's all done with Oxys on rails

But if u can operate a line bore
2k a hole if u have your own gear

One thing to take into account is cost of living
Perth is in the top ten for most expensive cities

Rent is anywhere from 200 to 1k a week

Look ino the Louisville area. We are slowly turning into an industrial town. It's loong been a supply point because of UPS; but now people are taking it a steo further and bringing there manufacturing facilities here. If machinist work isn't available, facility maintanance is paying in the $20-35/hr range; and all of them are asking for machine and welding experience.

So many people from Michigan have been coming down here to work, I believe Detroit has become a sister city.
