Hi all, i'm currently building an electric race vehicle to tkae part in a series of races around the UK.
I was just wondering if anyone knows of a suitable garbox for my motor: the best speed i can currently get is 24MPH (the leaders can go 50MPH).
My motor runs at 2000 R.P.M. and has 1.15Nm of torque.
Ideally a Continously variable gearbox would be preferred, but anydort of gearbox that can get me over 50MPH would be brilliant.

Thanks,
Rob

what shaft size is the motor? a torque coverter would get you up more speed and give lots of torque, sounds like the RPM is quite low. are you under-volting it?

The shaft is 20mm thick, and no, i'm not under-voltingit: it's a 24V DC motor and we all have to run it at 2000 RPM as otherwise we'll get disqualified.
