G'day, got an old children go kart that I plan on completely rebuilding.
The front end will be removed and a new long travel dual a-arm suspension system will be fabricated entirely by myself and front brakes will be installed.
I'll also be fabricating a new swing arm with the engine mounted to the frame with the help of a jackshaft at the pivot point. The axle will be a 40mm racing spec one and with spacers will make the kart about 1200mm wide (~4 freedom feet)
A roll bar will be added and reinforced behind the seat and a tube will be run from the back to the front of the frame on both sides for rigidity.
Everything will be made from either 1"inch 2mm steel tubing or 1"x 2" 2mm tubing as I have over 100 feet of both.
All thoughts and advice will be greatly apreiciated,
Thanks, Henners
