Sup homie, name is abdul. I have a mini project I'm workin on just to drag race up n down the street with some buddies. Just picked up a gx200, I removed the governor, installed a bsp4 cam, green stripe 10.8 springs, jetted carb, and now I wanna maybe shave the head a lil bit and port it. This gx200 is dated 4/11 and I was also wondering is there any stock cast head better then this 1 I could probably find cheaper??? Thanks.....

Welcome.

For a governor delete and an upgraded cam, I think you'd want something a little stiffer than the 10.8 springs. Even the green ones don't give a whole lot over the stockers, especially not for those mods... I'm thinking the 18lb should do the trick.

there's a so called E14 head IIRC it's the original head for a gx160 (late nineties??)
it has 14cc I think 8cc less than the one from a gx200 while having the same valve sizes installed..
that'd increase the compression a fair amount
(flat top piston, gx200 gasket and nothing else ~12:1)
with some milling you can go insane like
decked block, 0.05 milled head flat top piston compression up to 17.5:1 or such

the newer gx160 heads are 18cc I think (gx200 should be 22cc if I'm not mistaking)
