Hey guys, haven't been able to give much time to the mini bikes and go karts lately. Been fixing up a couple dirt bikes since the old lady is looking to get into riding. Anyhow, I got the high bid of $62.25 on a nice little roller yesterday. Looking forward to throwing it together. I'd like to put a predator and torque converter on like I've done in the past. A question I have though is will I be able to run a cvt with the scrub brake it has? I'm kind of wondering the angle of the chain will be at such where it's hitting the rod for the brake. Is anybody out there running a cvt with a scrub brake? I'll attach a couple images, and I'll post a couple more when I pick it up this afternoon. Just figured I'd ask before ordering a 30 series, thanks for any advice.

Good deal ya got there. Cant get anything like that on my part of this rock anymore. As far as clearance goes, you might have to modify your mount plate and/ or the TAV. You wont really know until you mock something up, though. I had problems with both when I put a TAV on my 212 on my go kart. I had to eventually use some 1 1/4 box tube to pick up the motor. The chain rubbed on the plate quite a bit. You shouldnt have my
Btw if I were you, I'd be more concerned with using scrub brakes on something thats capible of 30+mph.:surrender:

Well I tried and tried, no go on the torque converter. Cut a good slice out of the back plate and was able to clear that, not so much on the driven clutch sheave. But, it kind of turned out for the best as I traded it to my buddy who had a just slightly used Noram Cheetah. It's set up with weights and spring adjustment to engage at 1800, which will work out good I think as I still have the governor in there. I've never had the opportunity to play with one of these race clutches, pretty excited to see what it's all about. Currently the gearing is 5.25:1, which I suspect this thing should be able to handle with the smaller tires.
