Hello!
Just got our first go kart for my 3 daughters, 13,10 and 8. The 2 little ones are loving it. We already know we need to replace the clutch with a torque converter, so I guess that's my first project. Have to figure out which one to buy and how to install. Wish me luck!

cool man! what size engine is it? if its a 3/4" shaft 5-8 hp engine you can get one of the following that just bolt right up to the engine:

a 30 series torque converter kit for 40/41 p chain and 35p chain (comes with both sprockets)

or

or if you want a genuine comet 30 series torque converter,
you can get

30 series TAV2 with 40/41p sprocket
30 series TAV2 with 35p sprocket

the knockoffs are good, and the genuine comets (even though they cost roughly double) are really really good. Just depends on your budget.

hope that helps! post up some pics and your axle sprocket tooth count, and tire size.

Welcome to the forum; :iagree: luck plays no part around here, if you need step by step, idiot proof instructions, that's exactly what you'll get; a couple of years ago we instructed a member/mod how to rebuild an engine...

What TC you buy all depends on your budget; a genuine Comet will cost in the vicinity of $200 whereas a reproduction can be found for as little as $100
