First Dune buggy build with my kids help.

Hi everyone just want to introduce myself my name is Mike. This will be my first attempt at building a smaller dune buggy. I'm going to build granddaddy dune buggy with my kids. Of course with some different modifications to the original build. My one question I have for right now is what size engine should I purchase? I want to be able to run it will either me and my wife in it or me and my one kid at a time in it. I'm a big guy 6 ft 3in and around 300 lb and then 150 lb for kid or my wife. It will be just running up and down our street and our end circle of the road. So any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

hello and welcome to the forum! First of all, please post some pics so we can see what kind of setup you have. you could go faster with 18 hp but there are many options. aso you could go used and fix something and save some money. there are also old flat head engines to. it all depends on you ideas and skill level.
